Chantal Faida

National deputy candidate for the 2023 elections in the DRC, CEO of UWEMAASBL, and Director at CFEM (Center Elikya ya Mboka), is a gender consultant and social activist in the DRC.

In 2011, she thus became deputy student spokesperson and coordinated the inter-university student committee of North Kivu. Then, she decided to pursue a career in politics and joined the political party Alliance for Development and the Republic (ADR) within which. In 2018, provincial deputy candidate, city of Goma, Chantal continued to influence and represent young people. In 2012, she created Uwema ASBL which defends the social and economic rights of women and children in difficulty in North Kivu, offering more than 115 scholarships to children who have dropped out of school. Nominated as an Associative activist for the DRC by the GAFA (Gala de la Femme Africaine) in France in 2015, she was recognized 18th out of 50 influential women in Africa by the African magazine ONEWORLD In 2017.
